Ballyknock

Ballyknock is nestled between the towns of Hillsborough and Moira in County Down, Northern Ireland. Too small to be a village, Ballyknock is little more than a hamlet. The name was derived from two gaelic words, bally (Baile na) meaning 'place of' and Knock meaning a hill.Ballyknock is included in the townlands of the Parish of Moira which includes Aughnadrumman, Bottier, Legmore, Aughnafosker, Carnalbanagh West, Lurganville, Balloonigan, Clare, Magherahinch, Ballycanal, Derrydrummult, Risk, Ballygowan, Drumbane, Tullyloob, Gortnamony, Ballymagaraghan and Kilminioge.
